We tried to get pregnant for random times but never succeed, my doc gave me follistim 50. I take it at night 2tablets. What is it? Y should I use it??
Fertility visit: Follistim comes as an injection not a pill. It would be strange for a doctor to distribute fertility drugs to a 20 year old who has only tried to get pregnant at random times. It is also highly unusual to give fertility medications without going through testing and extensive counseling regarding the risks and benefits of the medications. Consider a 2nd opinion. ...Read more
I am on follistim for IUI. Does the dose have to change each cycle if 1-3 follicles are produced and estradiol is increasing appropriately.?
No it doesn't have t: But it definitely could, if you see the difference. Functional cysts: Functional cysts are the cysts in which the eggs grow and from which you ovulate so they are necessary for ovulation to occur. They can also be the corpus luteal cysts which develop at the site of ovulation and produce the progesterone that gets the uterine lining ready for implantation. Again necessary for successful pregnancy. Hope this helps. ...Read more
