Antral follicles: The follicle sizes suggest that you are not close to ovulation. The follicle releases the egg at a follicle size of about 24 mm. Sometimes ovulation occurs much later than day 14-15. Work with your doc to decide when to scan and whether you need medication to make ovulation. ...Read more

I started menstruating on 13th. Should 13th be counted as day 1 for follicular study or 14th as day 1? When should I have an intercourse to conceive?

Day 1=menses day 1: Since you started menstruating on the 13th, this first day of menstrual bleeding is usually regarded as the first day of your cycle. Your fertile days (which are your best days to have sexual vaginal intercourse with a fertile man) are usually 1 to 3 before you ovulate to 1 1/2 day after ovulation. Ask your Gyn or pharmacist what are best methods to determine your monthly ovulation/fertile days ...Read more

On my 12th day follicular study my ovary size is 38x23 and 33x26 ovaries are large with small cyst and endometrial thickness 7.7 what is meant by this?

It is a phase: During the follicular phase of the menstrual cycle, hormonal changes causes follicular cysts to form in the ovaries and increase in thickness of the lining of the uterus. This coincides when a woman feels abdominal bloating, heaviness, and even moody. This phase is immediately followed by menstrual flow which makes the cysts shrink and allow the lining of the uterus to go back to normal. ...Read more

I'm ttc. My dr told to take follicular study on 12th day. My report was right ovary 42*34 mm sized cyst? Follicular cyst. Left small follicle.

Limited Information: Almost impossible to help you with this information. There are so many different scenarios this represents. The most likely is a left over follicle from the last cycle that didn't physically ovulate (lufs syndrome). This is not indicative of any serious problem. You could also have ovulated just before the u/s test. But based on no "ovulatory" follicle, ? Anovulatory cycle this time. ...Read more

On 10th day follicular monitoring result shows rt ovary follicles sizes 19, 18, 18, 17mm and endometrial thickness 7.7mm. Plz tell me is it normal. M ttc?

No: The sizes of the follicles are fine, but the uterine lining is thin. Normally by that time, especially with follicles that are large, the lining is closet to 10 or 12 mm. That could be a problem. You might need a different type of treatment. ...Read more

Taken siphene 50 mg on day 3-7.Missed on day 5 & took it on day 6.When should I get pelvic scan done for follicular study. Can I use ovulation kit. Thx

It depends: The best time to monitor your follicle growth after Clomid (clomiphene) depends your cycle length. For a woman with 28 day cycle, the best time for follicle monitoring is about CD 12-13, because ovulation usually occurs on CD 14. You may also use OPK to determine your ovulation date. Good luck! ...Read more

Hi I have pcod had Clomid (clomiphene) 50mg second time follicular study on 10th day my lt ovary follicle is 8mm my right ovary there is septate follicleof 16mm do?

May be ovulatory: With pcos, the ovary tries to produce and release an egg but is unable to really get the egg to release. The ovarian cysts that contain an egg will grow and generally when they get to 2 cm=20mm are considered mature and ready to release an egg. The cysts you are describing sound small. The proof of whether you go on to release the egg will be seen in whether you menstruate or get pregnant. ...Read more

Ovulation: This health app is a revolution that may change the world. Millions of women, it appears, do not know the simple basic facts about fertility. You can only get pregnant when you ovulate. Hi doctor, I did a follicular study, Doctor said the ovary is not growing, What I need to do for the growth of ovarian?

Ask more information: Did you have an ultrasound of your ovaries? Did your doctor mean the ovary is not growing or the ovary wasn't producing follicles? The distinction between ovary and egg production is important in order to approach an answer. Further discussion with your MD would be helpful ie. Are you menstruating?, is it cyclic? Additional tests may be indicated after a more thorough history. ...Read more

Do you mean HSG?: HSG is an x-ray test with contrast to evaluate fallopian tubes, is that what you had? If so definitely not, this will not make you ovulate (or stop you form ovulating.) Good wishes. ...Read more
