Follicle Size For Ivf Trigger
IVF egg removal. 32 follicles only 7 eggs retrieved. Did Lupron (leuprolide) trigger and Hcg. Why so few?
Ask your doc: Many possibilities: incorrect timing (too early OR too late) or administration of hCG, bad batch of hCG, surgeon had difficulty with TVA, maybe only 7 mature follicles and the others were mid-to-small...your doctor and your embryology team are only ones who can answer what happened. Good luck with the 7, sounds good! Read more
In vitro fertilization is an assisted reproductive technology. Ivf is a procedure used to treat fertility problems and assist with the conception of a child. During ivf mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab. A few days later, the fertilized egg (embryo) or eggs are implanted into the uterus. One cycle of in vitro fertilization ...Read more
Hello, I am 38. My FSH is 13 nd my AMH is 1.3. My follicle size is 16-17mm (9 th day). Can I get success through IVF nd with my own egg?
Tip: Unfortunately, I can't answer the question for you. However, I do have a suggestion. If you lab values in your inquiry, it's always helpful to also include normal ranges, whenever possible and relevant. Read more
I am on day 8 of an IVF cycle and yesterday I had 17 follicles, but today only 9. Is this normal? The ones that are still there are developing.
Could be: Each cycle follicles are recruited and in if several have enough stimuli to reach critical size and could be harvested. Starting out with 17 and now with 8 indicates that the other follicles were never going to reach critical size even with the hormonal stimulation. Good luck to you! Read more
Having ivf, starting stimulation in 2 days. Baseline scan 10 follicles on left overy and 10 on right. Age 31.5yrs. What is expected success of ivf?
Chances are good: At 31 years of age, the outlook is very good. Different ivf centers will quote different rates, you should ask your ivf doctor to answer this question for his/her facility. Read more
Pregnancy: It is difficult to put a number for what your success may be. These tests also are not predictive of pregnancy rather your response to fertility treatment medications during ivf. Your chances may not be as high as someone your same age with normal ovarian reserve. However, your age places you at a high chance in general. Good luck. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My 1st IVF with 1 excellent follicle did not succeed. What are my chances of pregnancy for the next IVF?
Varies: The success rate for IVF cycles is around 50% to 70% and does depend to some extent on a variety of issues including the age of the eggs being used, the woman's anatomy (fibroids, uterine anomalies, etc) and the experience of the reproductive specialist. Good luck. Read more

If an ovary did not give follicles even as healthy, while on therapy for IVF, does it won't in the future as well or it depends from cycle to cycle?
I am cycle day 8 after a failed IVF but still bleeding light. Is this normal. Will my fertile days be the same this month? Can I have mtple follicles
See your RE: You need to see the doctor who did your ivf to evaluate the follicles which remain going into this next cycle. Generally, the number of days of fertility are the same, but the days that they occur may change. If you are going to try to conceive on your own this month, I recommend an ovulation predictor kid. They are quite accurate. You are still high risk and need to see your OB or re. Read more
Had failed IVF cycle today, as Dr. Says only 02 eggs were retrieved from 9 follicles grown & those two failed to fertilize with ICSI. Is it possible?
Yes: Normal women have a cycle every month but only a few pregnancies in her life. The careful success of a pregnancy requires a host of issues to successfully line up. Probably 60% of impregantions are still not successful and even in the face of many sperm many eggs are never impregnanted. Much is still a mystery. Read more
I'm on ivf Antagonist protocol, after 6 days of stim, my e2 level is 75.3 and of 7 follicles only 2 are growing. My dose is increase. Is there any hope?
Yes, keep going: Your initial E2 level is low but some women just need longer stimulation before their follicles start growing. This is especially true if you were on birth control pills (BCPs) as part of your IVF cycle. BCPs can suppress some women significantly. Try the higher dose for a few days and then reevaluate. Sometimes it's better to stop the cycle and start over at a higher initial dose. Read more

IVF is not simple: IVF is a very complex process and requires a very qualified expert to evaluate all the information and your personal information too. While you have much data that appears promising, you must rely on your doctor to guide you. There are many resources out there but they do not take into account your special circumstances as a patient. I recommend you discuss all these details with your IVF doctor. Read more
