Pregnancy: Keppra (levetiracetam) and folic acid do not increase or decrease your chances of getting pregnant. Keppra (levetiracetam) does not interfere with oral contraceptives. If you don't use birth control then your chances are higher of getting pregnant. While studies have not shown an increased risk of birth defects with Keppra (levetiracetam), discuss with your obstetrician the drug risks before attempting to get pregnant. ...Read more
