I'm so sorry about: what you and your husband are going through. I know your hoping for him to get through this. However, this is a very complicated situation. You need to direct your questions to the doctor that's treating him. If his doctor isn't giving you the information you need, perhaps a male relative can be more persuasive. Dr. Anne. ...Read more

S it fine to take glutathione 500mg,milk thistle extract 100mg, alpha lipoic acid 50mg, combined with d alpha tocopheryl acetate 400 iu?
Analysis: Why do you take all these items?. Where did you find such advice? Glutathione is a wonderful anti-oxidant, but does NOT cross into the brain, so of questionable value in bloodstream. Milk thistle extract has questionable benefit in most cases. Alpha lipoic useful in peripheral and central nerve disorders. You are far better off using mixed tocopherols, especially with gamma. 25weeks pregnant. pus cell &yeast positive in vagina.antibiotic cefuroxime(14)7days& fluconazole50mg 3ngts+neosten vt200 6ngts prescribed. is it safe?
Yes, but it may be: ...overkill. Fluconazole & Neosten both treat yeast vaginitis, altho resistance can rarely occur. The antibiotic cefuroxine is NOT used to treat yeast infections. Antibiotics can kill of healthy vaginal bacteria and allow yeast to take over. Perhaps your doctor was treating something else as well. All of these meds are considered safe after the 1st trimester. Male.Estradiol 66pg/ml after 2 months Clomid (clomiphene) 25mg/day.Estradiol was 24pg/ml before. What explains the increase?Total T went from 199 to 337 ng/dl. Why?
Clomid (clomiphene): stimulates the pituitary gland in the brain to produce more sex hormones. In men, clomid (clomiphene) stimulates LH (luteinizing hormone) which prompts Leydig cells in the testes to produce more testosterone which can convert to estrogen, so it would not be unexpected to see a rise in both of those hormones. This improves fertility. Clomid (clomiphene) works similarly in women promoting ovulation and fertility as well. ...Read more

Erythroid hyper-: Plasia is production of large, immature precursors of red blood cells /rbc in the bone marrow which prevents or crowds out the growth of normal ones. This will cause anemia and most likely it's a side effect of Methotrexate that ur taking and/or the medical condition u have. Probably not . .: First, please be assured that a Hb of 10.4 is not a danger to you or to the baby. The Bone Marrow makes 3 types of cells (WBC's, Platelets, RBC's). Your platelets and WBC's are normal. If you or your doctor were concerned about a bone marrow problem (i.e. bone marrow suppression), you can also get a test called a Reticulocyte Count. I'm on Levothy 100mcg-Liothy 50mcg. In addition, my DR wants me to start taking:Tyrosine 500mg, iThroid 6.25mg,selenium 200mcg,zinc 30mg. Is this ok?
Weird stuff: I don't know what your doctor is treating, but I can say that these are very unusual treatments. The mineral supplements are probably harmless, although ineffective (and expensive; is your doctor selling them?); the levo/lioth combo is probably making you hyperthyroid, which will hurt you in the long run, and make you addicted to a daily thyroid rush. See a reputable endocrinologist. ...Read more

No cure, see doctor: You appear to have a case of anemia and just borderline on vitamin D level (I usually like to see level between 60-80 even though 30 is said to be at the lower end of the normal range ). The positive anti-TPO suggests that you are at a higher risk than average in developing an autoimmune disease particularly on the thyroid. See your doctor re. these issues. ...Read more
Using OCP Lo Lo (10mcg estradiol, 1mg Norethidrone Acetate) for 3 months. Have noticed by pill 7 the cervix starts to dilate. No spotting/period, why?
Lo Loestrin : Lo Loestrin is a very low dose pill, i.e. It had very little estrogen, so it stimulates very little growth of the uterine lining. This means there is very little to bleed off at the time of your period. It is normal to only have a little light spotting or skip periods on Lo Loestrin. This is not a problem since the progestin is what provides contraception. The estrogen just regulates periods. ...Read more
