Will foban delays the time of scabbing of a wound on face? I want the wound to have scab as soon as possible. Soshould I use foban cream or do nothin?
Wrong question: Throw away the foban. A scab is NOT desirable for best healing. Lubricate with vaseline or Aquaphor. Water is good for it. No antibiotic or antiseptic is of the slightest benefit except as lubrication. They may cause allergic reactions. Wounds heal better without any of them!!!! ...Read more
Not recommended: As harmless as an antibiotic cream might seem, it is actually absorbed into the skin and the rest of the body. That means different germs 'see' this medication and can generate resistance to it - which may be an issue down the road. (Hopefully never but you can't predict the future). Better to find out what exactly is causing the rash and base your treatment on that. A dermatologist may be of help ...Read more

Probably not: You are having an allergic reaction to a topical antibiotic cream. Stop usung it and take an antihistamine if you are red and itching. Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) zyrtec, claritin, or Allegra can help this. When the allergic reaction stops it will go away and your skin will not hyperpigment. Avoid ever putting antibiotic cream on your face it is oily and can cause acne. ...Read more

Depends on skin type: In hungary you are probably a lower fitzpatrick score type 1 or 2 and you should be able to tolerate any skin abuse. Most say 'remove': I know that the majority of doctors would advice removal and it couldn't be a bad idea. If you can call the doc you saw to clarify, do it. If you think it a wise idea, do it. Healing will be faster and cleanliness easier. Up to you - best wishes. ...Read more
