Can cause insomnia : Fluvoxamine is a sri--a category of anti-depressants that has many members including Prozac (fluoxetine) which was the first one. It is not prescribed for insomnia so you may want to talk to your doctor to get some clarity about what he/she is diagnosing you with. Also it interacts with many medications including caffeine which is one reason that it is not prescribed as often as the other members of the sris. ...Read more

No alcohol on Luvox (fluvoxamine): I suspect in most jurisdictions you are under age and it would be illegal for you to drink.Ritalin (methylphenidate) and alcohol should not be mixed because alcohol raises Ritalin (methylphenidate) levels by 40%, making Ritalin (methylphenidate) toxicity much more likely.Adding alcohol to Luvox can prevent the Luvox from working for up to 72 hours and the result can severe rebound depression or anxiety. Luvox (fluvoxamine) & PE: Did you have premature ejaculation (pe) before starting the luvox (fluvoxamine)? If so, this Luvox (fluvoxamine) may have helped normalize ejaculation time. Then when you stop luvox (fluvoxamine), you could return to your original state (premature ejaculation). There are other ways than medication to help pe, and your physician can help with your particular case. Simply stopping Luvox (fluvoxamine) would not by itself cause pe, though. ...Read more
