What causes recurring redness on only one facial cheek, been going on for two years now.?

What causes recurring redness on only one facial cheek, been going on for two years now.?

Facial redness: The auriculotemporal nerve supplies salivary and sweat glands as well as bloods vessels in the face. When eating highly flavoured food, the nerves stimulate the flow of saliva to aid digestion. After injury, it is thought that these nerve impulses are "misdirected" to stimulate skin blood vessels and sweat glands rather than salivary flow. The result is facial redness and sweating. I've 2 flat circular areas inside of left cheek. Each one is about 2 cm, has 10-15 tiny while painless bumps giving it a speckled look. Any ideas?

Needs to be seen: Ideas?, yes and many. It may be normal but without seeing it in person no one on the internet can know for sure. Me and my wife has no dimples, but our new baby has one dimple on right cheek. How it is possible? Pls give me explanation about this, im in doubt.

Spontaneous mutation: I didn't know this but apparently dimples are autosomal dominant, which means you only need a gene from either your mom or dad to get dimples. If neither have dimples, then it's not likely for you to have dimples unless you have a spontaneous genetic mutation in which case you can then pass it on down to your children. My son is one and has a tempature of 103.5-104.0 he has no other symptoms other than being super sluggish and rosy cheek should I take him to the er?

Depends: Fever, by itself, is rarely harmful. What you need to be concerned about is: what is causing the fever. A temp of 104 could be from a cold or could be from meningitis. If your child is acting "sick" then you should call your doctor for further advice. If he is running around and acting fine without any other symptoms, then it should be safe to just monitor her for a day or two. ...Read more
