Maybe a little:
Of all the SSRI medications, Prozac (fluoxetine) has among the lowest risks of SSRI withdrawal syndrome (mostly consisting of dizziness or light-headed spacey feeling).
That said, any SSRI dose reduction might cause some people to experience withdrawal syndrome.
The risk of significant withdrawal issues is lessened with short exposure (e.g. only one month) at the higher dose. ...Read more
Luvox (fluvoxamine) effects: Serotonin, which like all of the nerve transmitters in the brain, lines the entire G.I. Track. During fetal development the bottom of the neural crest which becomes the brain heads south and remains connected to the brain both through nerves as well as through nerve transmitters that line the G.I. Track. When people take a medication like luvox, (fluvoxamine) which is an ssri, the excess serotonin stimulation within the G.I. Tract can trigger a diarrhea response. It does this by affecting and binding to serotoninreceptors in the G.I. Tract which can cause subsequent diarrhea. The gut is being increasingly referred to as the third brain and the whole effect of the gut and the bacteria that we have in our intestines is a huge area of research into human well-being and illness at the present time. ...Read more

If your seratonin low cn it cause u 2 hv band headaches & all kinds of horrible symptoms 2 your body. I use to be on Prozac (fluoxetine) 25 mg & now off of it.
In roundabout way: If you were on Prozac (fluoxetine) and stopped, it's possible to have some uncomfortable discontinuation symptoms [including headaches] even though Prozac (fluoxetine) is less likely than other ssri's to cause these. Another possibility is that Prozac (fluoxetine) was helping you relax, including the muscles around your scalp & forehead, which can tighten into tension headaches. Serotonin doesn't necessarily need to be "low" for this. ...Read more
