Yes: Growth hormone is important for the development of the bones of the face. Persons with growth hormone excess have characteristic facial features including coarsening of their facial features and enlargement of the jaw. These changes can also be seen in a much milder form in children who receive growth hormone for growth hormone deficiency. Children with untreated growth hormone deficiency often have a condition known as midface hypoplasia where the bones in the middle of the face do not develop to be as fully formed as children with normal growth hormone secretion. ...Read more
Emergency!plz helpme.Excessive ejeculation increase testestreone level cause early closure of growth plates stopping height!plz expain by real theory?
Docs said growth hormone could be the cause of height growth spurts @ ages 39 & 41. What GH issue would cause that--acromegaly or something else?
None!: If you had gigantism, you would not stop growing & the growth plates not fuse & could grow more in one year than another, but by this age this would be obvious. Acromegaly, may cause the hands & shoe size to increase as well as bones of the skull & other areas to thicken, but once the growth plates have closed (varies in men, but almost all by 18) you will not grow in ht from GH! Can obesity be an underlying cause of delayed puberty? Could loosing weight trigger development of genitals & facial hair?
Dont ignore!doc said excessive ejeculation can increase testestreone level high cause premature early fusion of growth plates stunting height increase?
Go see another doc: Stop feeling guilty & depressed. Excessive ejaculation won't increase your testosterone and it has nothing to do w/your height. Otherwise, all men would be "short". If you haven't had a bone age xray done yet, get one to give yourself an idea of what to expect. If growth plates are fused, you won't grow any taller. But if growth plates are open, you may still have a chance. ...Read more
Can a child with normal levels of hormones use letrozole to delay growth plates closure and sermorelin to increase height?
Not indicated: In case of normal growth parameters in a child ( like normal growth hormone and igf1 levels and normal bone age) there is not much significance of sermorelin or human growth hormone therapy. Letrozole is not indicated and is still in its primary experimental stages for use for this indication. All one needs in this scenario are regular growth velocity checks at your doctor's office. ...Read more
Studies have shown that letrozole delay growth plates closure in boys. Can girls get the same results?
Not a large number: of studies using this Aromatase Inhibitor alone to delay puberty are avalable. Ultimate fusion of the growth plates is estrogen-dependent in boys & girls, so it may help slow down epiphysial maturation & allow greater height potential in any teen with short stature, but significant side effects can occur.
