Dermatologist: may be responding to your insurance coverage or have the expectation that you will have full resolution of the condition you are being treated for. If you have good response with fluocinonide then wouldn't worry. If your symptoms don't respond than would recommend calling the physician for update. ...Read more

Steroids and stomac : For this amount and this amount of time, i would say do not worry. But long periods of topical steroids would lead to thinning of the skin and risk of fungal infection. But intermittently, from time to time , using these medications for a few days is ok. ...Read more

No.: Fluocinonide is a topical corticosteroid, commonly used to treat psoriasis (and other steroid-responsive rashes such as eczema). It does not work on fungal infections, and often makes them worse. Go back to your doctor. He'll determine why the Fluocinonide is no longer working and either prescribe a replacement or send you to a dermatologist. ...Read more
