My great aunt has clear fluid leaking from her legs and her legs are red. Could she just prop them up and see how it does?
My grandmother is 94 years old & has fluid leaking from her leg. She is supposed to take a water pill but doesn't. Should i be worried?

Need More Info: Is the leg always swollen, and a lot? Is it completely paralyzed, and does he elevate the leg? Elevating will help reduce, as will exercise and ambulation, if able. What you describe is a leg so swollen, perhaps chronically, that water (called serous fluid) is actually seeping through the skin. NOT GOOD! Can easily lead to infection, amputation, or blood clot! Clear fluid is prob: nothing. cells contain fluid as does the space around the cells so this may be nothing. but sores concern me. I would see dermatologist to determine cause of sores, Apply topical antibiotic and cover with bandaid until you see someone.
