Propping helps: but I would be concerned about a skin infection called cellulitis. That would require antibiotics. See a physician For a prompt evaluation. ...Read more

My grandma cut her leg now it's leaking fluid?

My grandma cut her leg now it's leaking fluid?

Depends : This could be a normal response to a cut in an otherwise healthy person, as local tissue inflammation results in some weeping of the affected area. In older persons, especially those with lower leg fluid retention or poor circulation, additional measures should be taken to ensure proper healing and prevent infection. Suggest in-person evaluation with a doctor to be safe. ...Read more

Ex-husband had stroke 3 yrs ago. After a hot bath he squeezes and pushes down his leg and fluid leaks out and numbness temp gone. What is this?

Need More Info: Is the leg always swollen, and a lot? Is it completely paralyzed, and does he elevate the leg? Elevating will help reduce, as will exercise and ambulation, if able. What you describe is a leg so swollen, perhaps chronically, that water (called serous fluid) is actually seeping through the skin. NOT GOOD! Can easily lead to infection, amputation, or blood clot! Consider a compression stocking. ...Read more

I have sores on my right armpit and leg and on my left knee they are itchy at night and leak clear fluids. I don't know what they are or how to help.

Clear fluid is prob: nothing. cells contain fluid as does the space around the cells so this may be nothing. but sores concern me. I would see dermatologist to determine cause of sores, Apply topical antibiotic and cover with bandaid until you see someone. If lesions heal with topicals you may be scratching at night and opening your skin. Check any animals for fleas ...Read more
