Often surgeons will use drains to help remove this fluid as it collects, but even drains cannot prevent all fluid collections. What to do with 840 mililiters blood in abdomen after hernia surgery had hernia repair surgery on testicle was in bad pain 2 weeks later dr said blood floating around in abdomen
Many : Many times the blood you are talking about is bodily fluids tinged with blood. Sometimes you don't even have to drain that fluid. I'm assuming they did because you have an exact measure of 840 milliliters... Either way many times a collection of bodily fluids or even frank blood as long as the bleeding stopped is left alone for your body to deal with. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is fluid leakage common after lumpectomy? My lumpectomy was 3 weeks ago and today a large amount of fluid gushed out of incision.
Abscess: The only things that live in the male pelvis are: 1) bladder and 2) rectum. There should be no fluid collection outside of the bladder (normal), but with gas in it, usually represents an abscess. This usually represents a perforation or fistula from the rectum, or post-operative leak after rectal surgery. Depending on the cause, the treatment can be drainage through the rectum or open surgery ...Read more
A seroma was found during an abdominal ultrasound. Would increasing pain and pressure indicate growth of seroma or emptying of serous fluid?
Does ascites fluid leak into the groin area after a hernia repair if you have cirrhosis with ascites.

Had colon resection 4 mo ago. Having pain and nausea. Had ct. No diver but found 5cm free fluid in abdomen. No leaks will this be reabsorbed into body?
Depends: Unusual to find 5 cm of free fluid 4 months following a colon resection in otherwise healthy person. The identity of this fluid will determine its course- e.g. Ascites, blood, pus, etc. If no other cause for the nausea and pain, perhaps aspiration to determine what the fluid is may be indicated if your symptoms persist or worsens. Please consult with your surgeon or gastroenterologist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Whats the difference in abscess's and large fluid collection, in pelvis , are abscess's and fluid collection the one and the same ???
Not necessarily : An Abcess is a walled off area of infection. Fluid collections can be anything, they have different characteristics on the imaging and treated differently. Some fluid collections are just watched closely, an some just go away on there own. Remember our bodies are made up of water primarily and this can, in essence, collect up anywhere. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Sharp pain during bowel movement on 1st 2 days of menses. MRI shows some small volume fluid in pouch of douglas. Ultrasound found no abnormalities.
You need to continue: following your GYN doctor to figure out if indeed the pain you feel during bowel movement is attributable to the MRI results - especially since the ultrasound did not find anything to cause the pains. I hope you got a transvaginal ultrasound instead of abdominal ultrasound since the former is much more sensitive to pelvic findings. ...Read more
