Gallbladder disease symptoms, inflamed, free fluid around gallbladder but no gallstones what could this problem?

Gallbladder.: If your gallbladder appears inflamed on ultrasound and has free fluid around it, associated with symptoms which sound like gallbladder symptoms, I would say the most likely cause of your symptoms is your gallbladder. It is certainly possible to have cholecystitis without gallstones. You should be evaluated by your doctor or a surgeon ASAP. Good luck. ...Read more

Abd pain, nausea, burping after meals x3 weeks. Vomiting. AST was 39. US showed fluid around gallbladder, otherwise normal. No stones. What's the next step

Gall bladder: I recommend an evaluation by a gastroenterologist. It's possible that the gall bladder is diseased and responsible for the symptoms even though stones were not demonstrated. Sludge or other gall bladder dysfunction could be present. If a hida scan is done and is abnormal, consultation with an abdominal surgeon is advisable, also. ...Read more

What is it when you have fluid around you gallbladder?

What is it when you have fluid around you gallbladder?

Depends: Fluid confined to the area around the gallbladder suggests inflammation of the gallbladder, especially if there are associated symptoms such as pain in the upper right abdomen. There are a number of other reasons that fluid might accumulate in the abdomen, most commonly cirrhosis of the liver, so your doctor will need to assess the cause. ...Read more

Urine now whisky color (2wks). Off&on back, upper abd & calf/leg pain, nausea. No gallbladder & drink 2L of fluids/day bc of low bp. Pos causes please?

Need medical care: The whiskey color could come from either blood or excessive bilirubin in the urine. If it's blood, then the most likely cause relates to the urinary tract. If it's bilirubin, then the discoloration most likely to the liver and/or bile ducts. Your symptoms really concern me. You need to see a doctor promptly about this. I wish you the best. ...Read more

What does moderately fluid distended gallbladder mean? Noted on abdominal MRI, common bile duct diameter at 6mm. & I have alot of abdominal symptoms.

As an isolated: Finding it is of uncertain significance, it may mean nothing. It has to be interpreted in the context of your entire clinical picture, i.e. does your doctor suspect gallbladder dysfunction or biliary problem. Likewise, a 6mm common bile duct is borderline abnormal. If you have no signs, symptoms, or lab values suggesting biliary obstruction, it may be normal for you. ...Read more

Abdominal MRI found a "fluid filled gallbladder with no gallstones" & a 1 CM cyst in liver-can it b cause of nausea, diarrhea, rt side pain for 3+ mos?

Unlikely: If you have no gallstones and your common bile duct is the normal size, then it's probably not your gallbladder. A small liver cyst is likely to be incidental, and probably wouldn't cause your symptoms either.
Go to see your local gastroenterologist for a further evaluation. ...Read more
