FLUDROCORTISONE: No Flu is related chemically to aldo but not the same. It is used as aldo in those who do not make enough due to disease of the adrenals or having had both adrenals taken out. Decrease slowly.: If you are on the Florinef (fludrocortisone) for adrenal issues, it is best to decrease slowly by dropping to twice a day (bid) for a week or two...Then daily (qd) for a week or two. Then half a tab for a week, etc. As long as you do not have any negative effects while weaning, you should be fine.
