Other vaginitis: Fluconazole is an antifungal medication and thus only treats yeast/fungal infections. Bacterial vaginitis, trichomonas vaginitis, or chemical irritant cannot be treated by fluconazole. Urethral discharge such as gonorrhea can be a concern here as well.
