Flu symptoms, fever, kidney pain weeing blood for 2 days feel awful what can I do? painkillers aren't helping.

Need to see a doctor

Fever
I would be worried about taking any over the counter pain killers except tylenol since you may have kidney disease. The blood in your urine can be from a stone and the fever could mean you have an infection from an obstruction. Alternatively you could have a glomerulonephritis (inflammation of your kidneys) from some other cause). It is important that you are evaluated.

Blood in urine

Kidney_pain
You sound like you may have pyelonephritis (a kidney infection). It is very important that you go to your doctor or the ER to get a urine culture and then most likely will need to start on antibiotics. It is also important to make sure that it is not a kidney stone or an acute kidney inflammation called glomerulonephritis. A few blood tests and urine tests can help figure out the answer.

Had the stomach flu and also experienced lower back/kidney pain during that time. Been 4 days, is this normal and how long will it last?

No

You have symptoms which could be serious and should see your physician. He/she will listen to you, do a physical examinarion, run some tests, and let you know what's going on.

24 y/o Fm, flu +, tamiflu side effect of diarrhea, day 1 menses, 103* temp. Poss kidney pain/cramp, acid bubbles in stomach related to fever reducer?

Usual flu s/s

Fever
What you are describing are pretty typical influenza signs and symptoms. Even though you are on Tamiflu, these are not going to disappear today or tomorrow. Tamiflu reduces the length of illness by a day or two, but until then, you will feel like you do and run fever as you are. If the urinary symptoms worsen, make sure you have not developed a urinary tract infection on top of things.

this is called hemoptysis. You want to see a lung specialist ASAP. This is a urgency/emergency. Do not wait. Could be serious disease such as Wegener or many other ones.

Dr. Sophie Duriez answered:

I'm having painful urethral spasms/narrowing, testicular tightness, and now kidney pain, what's going on? I think adhd meds may have to do with it.

Strattera

Kidney
Just saw your question. I agree with the first answer: stop the ADHD meds and go and see your doctor. Just wanted to add that Ur description looks like the side-effects of Stattera. ER docs are aware of those as it may produce accute testicular pain not to be confused with the pain of testicular torsion. Hope U are already feeling better.

Got kidney pain, fever & woke up today with the right side of my face swollen & painful for no reason. Is this connected? Feel really unwell & tired

See a doctor

Face
This cannot be diagnosed over the internet. Take with you a complete list of symptoms and their sequence in developing along with any other factors you deem pertinent and allow them to examine you. If testing is needed they can order this. Good luck.

How do you tell if you have kidney infection? Had uti and took antibiotics. Have painful urination, fever, ab & kidney pain, foul urine, incontinance.

See a doc soon

Fever
some of these symptoms do sound like a possible kidney infection (fever, kidney pain, foul smelling urine) and this is a problem that should be treated urgently. A physician or ER should be consulted in the next 4-8 hours.

You are very young to be having swelling without trauma. Could be a kidney problem or circulatory disorder. Get it checked out.

Just had the flu and after a shower i had excruciating pain around my left kidney... is this a kidney cold?

No

Doctorfem2
Kidneys don't catch colds. Colds are caused by respiratory viruses which infect the nose and throat. Lots of other things can happen in the kidney area, such as kidney stones, intestinal problems, pancreatitis, stomach disorders, etc... "Excruciating pain" needs to be evaluated by a doctor .
