2 Pregnancy tests negative. 2 days very very light flow of period. Can I still be pregnant?

If testing too early: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon. ...Read more

Can the cold weather affect flow of period? I am experiencing it right now and wondering why? Didn't have a regular period for the last 2months either.

Get checked: I guess if you were exposed constantly to a cold environment without adequate protection, the stress would mess up your periods (marathons in a bikini in Alaska in winter would do it). But if wearing proper clothing and in a temp-regulated environment, it is unlikely. Since you have had 3 abnormal periods, something is going on and you need to see your doctor and find out what that could be ...Read more

I just had my period end a week ago and now another one just started. I've always been regular. I've always had very heavy flow. Started period in 04'?

Menorrhagia: Normal menses should be no longer than 7 days and up to 2 days "heavy" with pads change every 4 hours. Longer duration or heavier flow should be evaluated.
Your doctor may want to test you for coagulation disorders such as von willebrand's disease. ...Read more

Period week early, flow of period was bit heavier 3rd day gone away and terrible nausea and smells are getting to me. Negative hpt. Pregnant?

Unlikely: A negative pregnancy test is fairly definitive. Maybe your nausea is due to something else? If you could be pregnant, that is, if you are sexually active, consider re-taking the pregnancy test in 5-7 days. Nausea and reaction to smells would be very early for someone who was just newly pregnant so likely these symptoms are due to something else. Good luck! ...Read more

Leg weakness, higher ldl (168), hypothyroid. I use treanaxamic acid 500 (7tabs) for heavy flow every period (2yrs. Is my legweakness due to use of tablets?

Not likely: With LDL that high are you on a statin? That may be a contributor. Also vascular disease may cause muscle weakness as can uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Other possibilities include but not limited to dehydration, vit deficiency, electrolyte imbalance, nerve or vascular compromise. I would see your physician if persists or worsens. ...Read more

Good Day Doctor, I normally get my periods for 7 day I am. The heavy flow with period pains, This month was different I started spotting a day earlier 3 following days I was a light flow without pains and I started spotting, I started clomid last month

Clomid cycle: Ovulation induction with "clomid" can increase likelihood of pregnancy, but there are other causes of infertility which may be operating if your regular periods are as described. Endometriosis/adenomyosis may cause heavy periods, and blocked tubes will not be overcome with clomid. This cycle, wait a week or so and get a serum HCG test. If positive, see your ob/gyn provider. ...Read more

2/21 to 23 light period usual flow and cramps. 3/11 dark bleeding no cramps minimum flow. No period Neg ultrasound & test 3/31. Am I Pregnant?

Depends: Did you have sex since your last period? If no, then you are not pregnant. If you did have sex, you may do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
Practice safe sex.

Can sperms disturb the flow of period. I have been experiencing heavy spotting and some blood clots lately and its almost 3 weeks without a period and a took a home pregnancy test, whch indicate that um negative?

Too soon to test: Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.

I'm having uterus cramping, & sharp pain when passing stool just before menstrual flow, irregular period (late) &during, painful urination&bld clots why?

See gynecologist: It seems that your uterus is getting sensitive as it changes shape and thickens prior to your period. It also makes sense that the bleeding is heavy with this. You should see your gynecologist for evaluation of this as it is very likely treatable. ...Read more

Since having my third child, whom I'm still breastfeeding at 14 months, I notice I get mild nausea towards the end of my period. No cramping or other symptoms. Normal length and flow of period. Cause?

Nausea/menstrual: If this "mild nausea" is related solely to your menstrual cycle, it may be caused by endometriosis (implants of uterine wall tissue back through the tubes and into the abdomen, which also bleed at the time of your period for the same reasons). These implants cause irritation of the bowel which in turn can produce "mild nausea". There are other potential causes, so see your MD if persisting. ...Read more

My pelvis always hurts and heavy during urination and bowel movement with or without menstrual flow, late period, blood clots tissue-like, pain, why?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor.
Your symptoms suggest pelvic inflammatory disease and you need to be evaluated by an in person examination.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Exercise: Exercise can help reduce the flow of menses. Also non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen can be helpful. Light flow period -red and brown- lasting 2 days on Day 23 of a usual 28 5-7 day cycle. Should I be worried?

Probably not: This is usually due to a small cyst on the ovary that did not resolve at the time of your ovulation and now is resolving. As it resolves, it causes a decrease in Progesterone and that allows you to shed your lining. If it resolves no worries. If you continue to spot irregularly, you should seek care. ...Read more
