Should get evaulated: Being a 26 y/o female, it is likely that you have irritable bowel syndrome and with the frequent loose stools can cause significant anal/perianal irritation, at times bleeding from it. Don't worry: Floating stools are caused by foods that you eat that cause gas production or could be from malabsorption/ not absorbing essential nutrients causing them to be passed in the stool and making the stool float . Prob diet related: Flecks of white stuff are probably diet related. Sometimes some meds have casings that pass undigested. Parasites can be white-but generally if you can see them, they will be moving (worms). Malabsorption: what you describe sounds like a failure to completely absorb in your small bowel. It can be from rapid transit, a lack of pancreatic enzymes or bile, small bowel pathology or from a bacterial overgrowth. This is more common with an ileostomy .
