Flat Nasal Bridge Infant
I have a 1 month baby born with a prominent broad nasal bridge. Is there something to be done at this age for this craniofacial abnormality?
May be normal: We get so used to the way older kids and adults look that sometimes we are bothered by normal variations in a newborn. The midface begins to appear more narrow as the nose begins to grow forward in middle childhood. Infants tend to be flat faced and the nasal root can be broad and normal. Discuss this with you pediatrician. There are published standards for the normal variations of these features.See 2 more doctor answers
No: Sometimes this is a normal inherited trait. Try to see if others in the family share that trait. If you suspect that this person has a chromosome disorder, the doctors that diagnose them are called genetecists. If the person is your child it's best to see a pediatrician about your concerns first. (of course, if this is a coworker or the like, it's best to just leave it be ;).

14 month is delayed cognitive and physical. He gets excited around bright lights. He still has folds under eyes and flat nasal bridge. What is this?
Genetics: I would go to local children's hospital and have child evaluated in genetics clinic.
Possibly.: Please submit clear & specific questions about nasal bridge piercings. 1 question per entry is best. Clarify and re-ask.
Low nasal bridge: The nasal bridge can be lower in its placement, often flat and can be a soft neurological sign of genetic abnormality in newborns.

Ethnic variations: Facial features vary from ethnic culture to ethnic culture. As such what is considered normal in one culture may not be viewed the same in another. If you have concerns about a depressed nasal bridge, you should consult with a facial surgeon or plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and to find out what options you have for treatment.
Nasal bridge: The bone cannot grow back (it is rare), however with time the scar tissue can pull the bone in different directions and lead to an appearance of a new bony growth.See 4 more doctor answers

Nose was not broken in the past the bony protuberance probably has NO clinical significance...you might consider visiting a Board Certified Plastic/or Ear Nose Throat surgeon for an opinion.

How many surgeons should I consult before scheduling a revision rhinoplasty? I am discussing with my family the possibility of a revision rhinoplasty following an unsuccessful nose job. The nasal bridge seems too wide and I don't like the way it looks. I
Revision rhinoplasty: Choosing a revision rhinoplasty surgeon can at the outset seem like a daunting task. It's important to choose a list of potential surgeons critically before narrowing down the ones to consult with based on board-certification, training, credentials, patient reviews, before/after pictures, etc. I would recommend a minimum of 3 consultations, and a maximum of as many as it takes to feel comfortabl.See 6 more doctor answers

My 2 day old infant is having cold, due to which her nose is choked. We're using a saline nasal drop as needed. Kindly provide your input on this.?
Nasal congestion: At 2do the primary cause of congestion are irritants. House dust, fragrance, perfumes, detergent or cleaning products all leave scents that don't bother adults but irritate a babies nose. A good nasal clean out with saline can remove much of this irritant load, but removing the offending irritants from babies life helps more in the long run.See 1 more doctor answer
