Safe but not helpful: It wouldn't hurt to take these things together, but it probably won't help either. Azo Yeast® is a natural product that has no proven benefit either to prevent or treat yeast infections. Why are Flagyl and Cipro (ciprofloxacin) taken together? Any problem just taking Flagyl without Cipro (ciprofloxacin)?
Take both of them: There are several infections that might require treatment with both drugs, and taking only one of them could be dangerous. Your doctor wouldn't have prescribed both of them without good reason. Follow his or her advice. If you need more information about the reasons, contact the doctor's office. ...Read more
Can i continue taking acidophilus (probiotic) while taking levaquin (levofloxacin) (antibiotic) for a sinus infection?

Natural probiotics: I believe 'natural' probiotics are better than pills. My personal favorite is yogurt - which these days comes in many brands and formulations like yogurt drinks. If you're not a yogurt fan, there is sour cream, (raw) sauerkraut, kimchi, and kombucha. With cipro, (ciprofloxacin) the major side-effects are nausea, diarrhea, weakness of tendons, and dizziness. If you take yogurt, separate the dose of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) from it. ...Read more
