There are many: studies that support the use of good quality marine fish oil for eye, joint, brain, and cardiovascular health. Poor quality fish oil can be impure and weak. Took melatonin and woke up with terrific headache. Also take ramipril, buspar, (buspirone) lexapro, fish oil, iron and multi vit. Can these be taken togetger?

You can, but: It's not uncommon for melatonin to result in headache -- I have heard this from others. Also, it's best to take vitamins separately from other medications so that absorption is better for all. Are you checking your blood pressure regularly? High blood pressure may be a cause for headache in some people. You could also try a lower dose of melatonin and see if this helps. ...Read more

Eliminate/challenge: None of these commonly cause headaches, though it is not unusual for zinc to cause nausea, especially on an empty stomach. The best way to sort this out would be to stop them all for a few days & then re-introduce them one at a time to see how they affect you. It is ok to take vit d and fish oil together (best after a meal). Zinc and iron will be better absorbed if taken separately from fish oil. ...Read more

I feel that there is fairly good evidence that fish oil can lower the risk of certain kinds of heart events; it is also an anti-inflammatory supplement good for chronic inflammatory conditions like arthritis.
