High quality: I don't recommend a prescription fish oil. I personally take icelandicformula4 fish oil (no financial interest). It is 100% omega 3. I also like barlean's brand available from amazon. Fish and flax oil are synergistic. 1000mg of fish oil and 1000mg of flax oil twice a day are a good dosage for dry eye. Avoid tilapia fish-it has omega 6. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Otherwise you need thorough exam and management by someone experienced with dry eyes. Autoimune? Se from meds? Diet related? ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Fish oil is a blood thinner that doesn't help broken eye vessels. Is carrot juice also a blood thinner that doesn't help broken eye vessels to heal?
Neither do: Fish oil does prolong bleeding time but not significantly, unless used in high doses usually combined with other anticoagulants like aspirin. Carrot juice, a good source of beta carotene, insignificantly affects bleeding time. Now, your broken eye vessels would not be expected to heal faster with the above, but may slightly increase bruising occurrence, particularly with subconjunctival hemorrhage ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
