Dysphagia: Sounds like you had or have scheduled a barium swallow. That's a great first step for this problem. If that doesn't provide an answer, get a referral to ENT for 'laryngoscopy' of throat and possibly 'esophagoscopy' of food passage. Uvula not epiglottis: You may see your uvula but it is difficult to see epiglottis. You have pain with swallowing. Feels like something in your throat. I would recommend drinking lots of fluids. Yes it can be reflux: GE reflux is a common cause of feeling a swelling in the throat and trouble swallowing. Often it is accompanied by hoarseness, especially after eating. There are a few tests that can determine this. An ear, nose and throat doctor can look at your throat to see if your vocal cords look swollen. You could also do a barium swallow.
