Go to your local pharmacy or health medical supply store and ask for a nighttime brace for plantar fascitis. This will stretch the fascia while sleeping and help to get rid of the pain. Try this...: Does the pain stay in 1 place, or does or move to hand or fingers? If to the finger, then possible nerve pain, but I doubt you have that. Did you have an injury? If so, that should heal with warm heat, light activity & OTC pain med (like ibuprofen or acetaminophen). Are you a serious couch potato? A few things: Metatarsalgia is pain in the metatarsal heads, but other issues such as arthritis, nerve inflammation (neuroma) or stress or overuse injuries ( including tendinitis, stress fractures) can cause pain in the ball of the foot.
