First Sign Of Pregnancy After Ivf Embryo Transfer
What are early signs of pregnancy after IVF and how much I should be careful after embryo transfer. Can I take complete bed rest or do household works?
Pos Pregnancy Test: Early signs of pregnancy are a positive pregnancy test with a missed period. After IVF you will be getting a blood pregnancy test 2 weeks after embryo transfer unless your period comes before that period. You do not need to rest after embryo transfer. You can do your routine work. I would avoid sexual activity and swimming for 24 hours. ...Read more
Embryo transfer (also et, set. Fet, etc) refers to placing one or more human embryo (s) (multi-cell or blastocyst) into the uterus of a woman trying to become pregnant. Et is the final step in an ivf cycle, and is done in some other circumstances as well. It is extremely safe, mostly comfortable, and usually not technically difficult. Experts agree on its importance, but ...Read more
Be optimistic: It is neither one, it is an "occupational hazard;" in other words it happens all the time. It doe snot predict at all whether the ET was successful. Think positive, please follow all your doctor's instructions, and good luck with your pregnancy test. ...Read more

When calculating the gestational age in IVF pregnancy, should we calculate from LMP or from day of embryo transfer?
The transferred embryo is already developed to a certain stage which your IVF facility can tell you. Your LMP is very inexact and is just a guideline in non-IVF pregnancies.
the date of conception is actually around day 14 of your cycle in a natural cycle and prior to the date of transfer in IVF. ...Read more

I am 41 and just had my embryo transfer on sunday 12/05/13. This is my first IVF cycle. I had 4 embryos transferred on day 3. What are my chances?
Reasonable: The number one predictor of success with ivf is age. The u.S national average is 20% pregnancy & 12% creating a live born baby. The 8% difference is mostly due to miscarriages. I have 11mm endometrium & FET is after 7days. It will grow further. What is the maximum endometrium thickness for frozen embryo transfer in IVF?
Perfect lining: I assume you will start Progesterone replacement soon as part of your protocol before your fet. Once Progesterone begins you will not see much growth (and possibly some thining) of the endometrial lining. Ideally you want the lining above 8 mm and triple line in appearance before start of the progesterone. There is no hard data on maximum thickness but some feel its around 18 mm. ...Read more
I have done IVF and I'm in day 12 after embryo transfer. I 'm bleeding and pains comes and goes. How can I know the embryo is falling out? Thank u
Always a possibility: Honestly, by day 12 after et, you should have already done a pregnancy test and know whether ivf was successful or not. If the test was positive, that is a good sign and sometimes the bleeding is do to losing a twin or a tear in a small cervical or uterine vessel. Unfortunately, these are less likely and ivf probably did not work. The pg test is the key. Good luck and I hope this helps. ...Read more
