Soaking Pads Hourly: It's certainly reasonable for your first period after a miscarriage to be heavy. However, if you're hemorrhaging, meaning that you have very large clots or bleeding that causes you to change your pads hourly then you should probably seek attention. Otherwise it may take simply take time. If you ever have symptoms of dizziness or wanting to pass out, seek attention. ...Read more

Not normal please: Call your OB to make sure u have no retained products from the miscarriage or other problems , your 1st period after a misc should not be that heavy. ...Read more

I miscarried..4 weeks later i had my first period that lasted 5 days and it was heavy jst expected my 2nd and its brown spotting with mild cramps ??

Miscarriage: Remember that even though you miscarried you were pregnant. It usually takes a few months for a women's periods to become normal again after pregnancy. The first period is usually pretty heavy as the endometrium is overgrown at that time. Be patient things should normalize. It is not uncommon, however to have a couple of months of abnormal bleeding or breakthrough bleeding following a miscarriage.
