Anxiety: Don't know where you live. But not all ticks carry pathogens that cause problems like Lyme disease or Rocky Mountain spotted fever. After ticks are removed, clean area with warm water and soap. You can apply antibacterial to the area if desired. Take a deep breath in or get some exercise to take your mind off of this. I would suggest trying an otc non-sedating antihistamine and switching the Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to bedtime because of the drowsy effects.
