Head numbness?: The differential includes cerebral vasospasm, TIA due to hypotrension or cardiac arrhythmia with a fixed stenotic lesion, acephalgic migraine and focal seizure. Focal seizure is less likely because of the absence of initial "positive symptoms" (Parasthesias) If the head numbness and hand symptoms are unrelated think CTS. Thought: Dvt is in the subclavian or axillary veins most likely. Shoulder is a joint and area. Swelling is uncomfortable. Rest, elevation, ace wraps may help control/ decrease the swelling while collateral veins develop. Radial nerve controls thumb and index and may have pressure. Other? What led to the dvt? Surgery, hospital, ? Pressure from brace etc?. ...Read more

Neuropathy: 36 yo w. chronic "joint pain" but doesn't tell us whether this discomfort is in hand/wrist, shoulder or generalized; or from injury. Apparently, diagnostic efforts not yet undertaken & etiology of "joint" symptoms unknown. Rheumatologic symptoms are commonly bilateral. Unilateral hand weakness worrisome & fits description of peripheral neuropathy. Neurologist's evaluation appears to be paramount. ...Read more

Resting tremor: Most people with Parkinsons have a resting tremor. It normally stops with movement, including holding the hands up. It may be independent of position or posture otherwise. There are other symptoms too, it sounds like you do not have them. Although you may have a tremor, it may be a factor of your neuropathy, rather than Parkinsons. But it was a good question.
