Outer 3 fingers numb and tingling. Started with iv' caused infection & swelling. Antibiotic given but 8 weeks later, swelling gone but not numbness.

Carpal tunnel: the most common reason for these sx in this location is carpal tunnel syndrome. I would see a Neurologist. I went indoor sky diving and afterwards, the top of my shoulder, inside of my forearm and thumb (not the fingers) were numb and tingling. What's up?
Neuropathy: Sounds like you may have developed a mild peripheral neuropathy (likely temporary) as a result of pressure from the parachute gear on your brachial plexus (a network of nerves that supply the arm and hand). This is much like waking up with numb arm/fingers after sleeping "wrong." this has been reported with backpacks, although I have not seen reports of peripheral neuropathy after skydiving. ...Read more
Nerve Irritation: Since the activity of holding the telephone could put pressure on nerves at the wrists or elbow. That could cause irritation of the ulnar nerve which could cause numbness of the 4th and 5th fingers. At the wrist the median nerve irritation causing numbness of the first 4 fingers.
