My pinky finger is swollen & painful. Dr. gave me Cataflam 50mg for it. Is this ok since I have high BP and taking Diovan 80mg?
May be dactylitis: You need a diagnosis and may need to see a rheumatologist. Swelling can be joint but if it is the whole finger this may be dactylitis and may suggest a more systemic problem, Do you have psoriasis or other medical problems. Poss bacterial infec: You may have a paroncyhia, which can be a bacterial infection. Specialist: If you are not seeing a orthopedic hand specialist, I would do that. A detailed exam and appropriate studies will likely determine the cause.
