Not necessarily:
To diagnose diabetes your doctor would need to test your blood glucose and/or A1c level. It is good that you quit smoking. Losing weight is not easy and it gets harder with increasing age. Joining a group like weight watchers may help.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Fractured radius — why are my finger joints are very stiff each morning? Improves during the day with movement.how long will this last? Thanks
Swelling from break:
The fracture causes inflammation, which impedes the normal flow of lymph from the hand to the arm and then into the central veins. Because of this slowdown, your fingers are a little swollen and feel stiff.
Elevating your arm, which gives the flow a boost from gravity, might help.
This is temporary, don't worry.
