A cast was put on my broken wrist today and my fingers are incredibly swollen. I have been icing/elevating them but they feel like pins and needles.

Swollen wrist: If the swelling is more than before the cast and if the pins and needles is new since the cast you need to have the cast checked out to make sure its not too tight and more importantly to make sure its not crps. Read more

I am six weeks with cast for my wrist fracture just the past few days my fingers are swollen should I be concerned?

Your cast may be: Too tight and therefore constricting blood flow in and out of your hand. I would call your orthopedic or emergency room doctor and have them revise the cast ASAP. You do not want to wait until the hand has gone numb, purple, or lose circulation. At least they should take a look at it. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap. Read more

Varies: If you have a distal 5th metacarpal fracture, then some variant of a "clam digger" splint or cast is applied.
