Fine Ct Scan
Had a cold about a month ago now my throat hurts in one spot on the left side when I swallow-also hurts in my left ear. Blood work fine. CT scan soon.
Ct uses xrays taken an 360 degrees combined with a computer to see"inside" the body. The table moves as the xray tube and detectors spin around the patient 10 times a second or more! the image shows excellent soft tissue detail, enhanced with injection of intravenous contrast or oral contrast. This way the body is shown in slices, in any plane, usually axially, but ...Read more

Went to ER few weeks back for stomach pains. Tests came back fine, ct scan showed constipation. Been on 5 courses antibiotics. Would ct detect c diff?
I have diabeties symptoms and up left abdominal pain. Thirsty, week, feel hungry. Blood tests all fine. Ct scan normal. Docs not concerned. Ideas?
Good news!: If the tests are normal, that's reassuring. The best thing to do is focus on healthy lifestyle choices so that you won't have to deal with diabetes in the future. Get enough sleep and exercise of course, and stay in touch with your community and family, but also eat a pound of vegetables a day and a cup of beans a day. The most important predictor of good health is a great diet and normal body wt. ...Read more

Large sub mandibular gland for years checked out by ENT and CT scans years back has not changed. Ent said fine after CT scans. Why 1 bigger then other?
Normal assymetry: Many body parts are not exactly alike and one side may be bigger than the other. If your submandibular glands have always been slightly different in size and exams showed no abnormalities, then that is how they developed. If one should start to get larger or painful, then you should have it evaluated by a doctor. ...Read more

UnlikelyHeadReinjury: Unlikely to injure yourself by overdid physical activites. As long the Cat Scan was alright and you have felt fine for 10 days.In that case your feeling strange is unlikely to be related to the concussion.Rest and lay off exercise for a day or two,but if still feel strange then consult your Doctor ...Read more

Tightness behind ears and inside ears that comes and goes.Pressure of middle ear is fine and CT sinus scan doesn't show any issues with ears. Thoughts?
Sounds like TMJ: There are many symptoms related to the ear area that occur when the jaw joint (also known as the temporomandibular joint - TMJ for short) is out of position, inflammed, degenerated, or traumatized. Often times the TMJ clicks, pops, or is tender when you put your finger into the ear canal and open and close your jaw. Splints and specialist care should be considered before it gets worse. ...Read more

It's been five months, after a concussiona and i get awful headaches daily, CT scan came back fine. How long will this nightmare last?
Post concussive: After a concussion it is not unusual to have some persistent headache, dizziness, vertigo or general malaise. So long as the symptoms are getting better slowly, I wouldn't worry too much. If increased activity worsens the symptoms, slow down and see if doing a little less helps improve your symptoms. In general may take 4-6 weeks to get back to normal. If you are getting worse, go see a doctor! ...Read more

Have had moderate to severe migraines every day for past 3mos; only very occasional migraines before. Ct scan is fine. What could this be?
Musculoskeletal: New "migraines" in late 20's female on daily basis is curious. Ct scans best for bones. For brain tissue mri's are better to find abnormalities. A neurologist is needed to evaluate intracranial mass effects. Positive findings are rare, but not impossible. In end, explanation might be chronic muscle tension headache resulting fr. Chronically tilted head ; spastic superior trapezius muscle. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I havehave right bundle block just got itit at age30...had nuclear stress done CT scan and acho all fine not related how is hat so?
Electrical vs...: Your work up has thus far focused on structural problems such as heart vessel blockages (what I refer to as "plumbing of the heart"), inflammation of the heart and its surrounding structures (pericardium for example). On the other hand, a bundle branch block refers to an electrical anomaly, most certainly benign. This creeps into the general population and is likely due to micro scarring events. ...Read more
My gdter fell, the first CT scan was 3.5mm subdural ht. 2dy later did MRI it was 6.5mm, 3rd CT the dr noted an increase, said she is fine?
Not logical: If you are reporting accurately, then there is a mismatch in the messages. Ct & MRI may not have equivalent measurements for acute bleeds, ct being better for acute bleeds. Somebody with an acute subdural hematoma is not "fine". They may not need surgery (now) but they do require close observation until the clots resolve on their own. Check your facts, consider getting a 2nd neurosurgical opinion. ...Read more
Done a CT scan and was diagnoses with a lot of gas, everything else being fine, I was given pancreatine, what could be the cause of low pancreatine?
Chronic pancreatitis: I do not believe that you have chronic pancreatitis because the CT scan is described as normal, also you do not mention that you have diarrhea or greasy stools. However, if you doctor has prescribed Pancreatine, it is possible that he was thinking that you might have chronic pancreatitis. Increased intestinal gas formation can be caused by other than chronic pancreatitis conditions. ...Read more
