No: Finasteride is absolutely contraindicated in pregnancy due to its ability to interfere with sex organ development in the fetus. I doubt we have data in breastfeeding, as its mostly a drug used in older men. I would avoid it. Need semen analysis: Some men taking Propecia (finasteride) will notice a change in their semen quality. There is not a strong association with male infertility however. Propecia (finasteride) blocks the production of DHT. You need testosterone for the production of sperm (along with FSH). The only way to be sure though is to have a semen analysis.
