JHS: 20's female w. Anemia ; hpv look to nutrition. Immune integrity needs protein ; iron; meat? #fibromyalgia (fm), migraine (ha), insomnia ; depression oft co-exist. Imo, female fm is oft secondary to childbirths ; joint hypermobility syndrome which causes pelvic instability, functional scoliosis, tilted shoulder/head, ha of muscle spasm/triggerpoints ; unrefresh sleep with huge mood effects. ...Read more

Co-morbidities: Cluster headaches are miserable, if you possess the classical syndrome. Ms patients do have higher incidence of headaches, but sounds like that concern is over. You would do best having specific treatment for the fibromyalgia, which might eliminate the other problems. Drugs such as savella (milnacipran) and Cymbalta would affect many of your problems. ...Read more

No: I wouldn't. they are different drugs with different mechanisms of action, which may lead to withdrawl. If you are going to stop celexa, I would taper over at least one month while on cymbalta (duloxetine). ...Read more

Fibromyalgia: Dear butterfly78765, nortriptyline is an older tricyclic antidepressants which has cardiac and anticholinergic side effects. It would be best to optimize one medication, either one would be fine, Cymbalta (duloxetine) would be preferred due to lesser side effects, major one being 10% patients can get high blood pressure. Can someone taking 150mg wellbutrin (bupropion) for post partum depression also take nortriptyline for fibromyalgia ?

Yes: But realize there is a slight increase in the risk of seizures. I don' t know your nortriptyline dose, but i would make sure a blood level is checked several weeks after the wellbutrin (bupropion) is added in to make sure you don't have excessively high levels. Exercise: Aerobic exercise will improve blood flow , loosen muscles and joints and improve your mood. Do it to music you like, ideally outside in a pleasant environment. Try swimming, it is low impact, or dancing, or gardening. Make sure you get enough sleep at night and avoid excessive alcohol and tobacco. ...Read more
