Can someone taking 150mg wellbutrin for post partum depression also take nortriptyline for fibromyalgia ?
Yes: But realize there is a slight increase in the risk of seizures. I don' t know your nortriptyline dose, but i would make sure a blood level is checked several weeks after the wellbutrin is added in to make sure you don't have excessively high levels. Best wishes to you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Unexpected Results: It is not uncommon to withdraw antidepressant therapy after 12-18 months. Most patients, who had a complete remission of their symptoms during this time, will remain symptom free. There is a chance the symptoms could return. A patient should be monitored closely as they withdraw treatment just as they were monitored when they initiated treatment. Do not cease treatment on your own. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
How can I tell if my wellbutrin dose is not high enough ? 7 days in and i can't tell a difference yet. Should i give it more time ?
Too soon yet: Yes, it's too soon to know. Like other antidepressants, wellbutrin requires at least 4-6 weeks of consistent dosing to show positive effects. You should be checking in with your doctor, who can gradually titrate your dose. Most often this begins at a lower dose so your body can equilibrate; then dose is increased for optimal symptom relief. Be well. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I have been on wellbutrin 450mg for 3 months. Over the last 3 weeks, my vision has been deteriorating. Could wellbutrin be the culprit?
Wellbutrin: In 2-3% of cases, wellbutrin may cause blurred vision. Is this the kind of "deterioration" you mean? Please tell your prescribing doctor about this problem, and have an eye exam asap. Since i don't know what specific problem you're having with your vision, it may not be related to wellbutrin at all. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Dr. gave me 200mg/day SR Wellbutrin bc 1 month of 150 XR didn't do anything. Can I expect a change? New to me Dr & didn't seem big on meds.
It could: Wellbutrin usually has less sexual issues than the other antidepressants and can be used to help the sexual side effects of other drugs. That being said, the pharmacology of wellbutrin is complex and sexual side effects such as decreased sex drive, lack or orgasm and delayed orgasm can occur. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Wellbutrin: Wellbutrin selectively inhibits the reuptake of Dopamine and norepinephrine by neurons, so that more of these neurotransmitters is available at synapses. This may not explain the entire mechanism of action as an antidepressant or smoking-cessation aid, but it's the best we know so far. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
