I have been prescribed oxycodone to take for the rest of my life for fibromyalgia. How many years and what doses is normal?
It depends: I've never told a patient that they will be on whatever i prescribe for the rest of their life. Nobody has a crystal ball and can predict the future. Certain types of exercise, and cognitive behavioral therapy can help. . Medications can help. First line: cymbalta, savella, (milnacipran) and lyrica. Second line: pamelor, elavil, and neurontin.
