Are Lyme disease and chronic fatigue syndrome related?

Are Lyme disease and chronic fatigue syndrome related?

Similar symptoms: Lyme disease and chronic fatigue syndrome can have very similar symptoms. By definition, if one has chronic fatigue syndrome other causes of fatigue like lyme disease have been ruled out, so if one has lyme disease, by definition they do no have cfs. However, it is likely that many people who have been diagnosed with cfs actually have undiagnosed lyme disease. See comment for more:. ...Read more

Low cd57 and Lyme disease related?

Low cd57 and Lyme disease related?

In some cases but...: Noted lyme specialist raphael stricker discovered that many lyme patients have a low cd57 count (this is a subset of a type of white blood cell called natural killer cells) and that the level often increases as patents improve. However, not all lyme patients have low cd57 counts. A low cd57 may be supportive of a lyme diagnosis but a high level in no way rules it out. See my comment for more info:. ...Read more

There are natural alternatives to Atovaquone but that drug is relatively safe & effective. ...Read more
