Fibromyalgia And Adderall
Do you recommend Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) for fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue? My fatigue is way worse to deal with then pain.
Check thyroid: I see many patients with fibromyalgia with fatigue that is due, at least in part, to low thyroid. Thus they may have symptoms with what appears to be mild hypothyroidism and sensitive to treatment if started too fast. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I was prescribed Amitriptaline and Buspar (buspirone) and already take Adderall. I have Fibromyalgia and Adrenal Hyperactivity and I'm nervous about Serotonin Syndrome. Are these safe together?
Serotonine: I am sorry you have to worry about side effects of several medications. It appears that the only medication that could cause a serotonergic syndrome is the Amitryptiline at high dosages. It depends.: If you're taking the stimulants for ADD/ADHD, the expected results would be an improved concentration and focus, improvement in hyperactivity, being able to accomplish tasks better. What difference did Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and Adderall have? I would recommend that you discuss this with your doctor who could make adjustments. ...Read more

Smoother Effect: Short-acting stimulants have a rapid on/off effect. At their peaks they can be too powerful and are prone to wearing off before you remember to take the next dose. These surges and falls can be both exciting and anxiety producing. Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) xr has sprinkles which act like well-timed doses that pick up where the last left off. They are designed to better fit with your day - once daily (not bid). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
