Fibroid Pushing On Bladder
Gyn, nj state. Can a large fibroid rapture or burst on top of the uterus?I feel like fibroids are pressing on the organs. What questions shod i ask ?
Rupture unlikely...: Uterine fibroids don't generally rupture or burst. They can cause a lot of annoying symptoms like pressure, pain, heavy periods, painful periods, clots, etc. The most important things to know about fibroids is how big they are; where they are; and the severity of the symptoms they are causing. You also need to make sure there are no other issues such as an ovarian or tubal mass. Best wishes! ...Read more
The bladder is a muscular organ in the pelvis that accepts urine from the kidneys, stores the urine at low pressure, & expels the urine during voluntary voiding. Though seemingly a simple reservoir, the bladder is a complex organ intricately connected with the brain and spinal cord with sensory, motor, and autonomic circuits. The muscular layer that contracts during voids ...Read more
GYN'S can Large (3) FIBROIDS on top of UTERUS cause Sunkening in on LOWER Sheen?Could it be they're pressing on ORGANS?I'm Anemic due to heavy bleedin
Yes: Bladder cancer can easily be missed on sonogram of the bladder and kidneys, especially if the tumor is small or flat. The definitive test for diagnosis is a cystoscopy where a small telescope is placed into the bladder to visualize the lining of the bladder. At the same time, a biopsy is taken to confirm the diagnosis. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Told bladder tac is pushing into vagina. Pain, bloody urine, loss of bladder control. Best advice/procedure to fix?
Specialist: I recommend that both a gynecological surgeon and a urologist who specializes in urinary incontinence and bladder disorders examine, evaluate and advise you on the structural diagnoses causing your symptoms and on what the various treatment options you have. The occurrence of bloody urine makes thorough urologic evaluation mandatory as it isn't necessarily explained by pelvic floor insufficiency. ...Read more

GYN's Can large fibroids (3) ON top OF uterus cause Sunkening IN of Ankle?Could it be they are pressing on the ORGANS ?I'm Anemic due heavy bleeding
Possible: By "sinking in" of ankles , I assume you mean pitting edema. Large fibroids can put pressure on the large iliac veins that bring blood from the legs and feet. That can cause a backup of fluid in the tissue of the legs and ankles which leaves a temporary fingerprint when you push in on the ankle. There are other causes such as cardiac failure that you should have checked out by your physician. ...Read more

Hi doctor, 22 yrs, Gall bladder polyp. (Gall bladder is normal in contours. A 5mm immobile echogenic focus noted along the wall of Gall bladder means?
Gallbladder polyp: Polyps of the gallbladder are typically incidental findings detected during radiologic imaging of the abdomen. They are usually harmless. The recommendation for 5mm polyp would be to repeat the Ultrasound in 12 mo to re-check the size. If not changing, no need to worry. ...Read more
Lap surgery right ovary removed (14cm cyst). Appendix too. Endometriosis on left ovary and uterus too. Normal to have pain after 6 weeks on left side?
MRI tell exact location of a fibroid? Before surgery fibroid was on top of uterus during surgery found to be under cervix fibroid wasn't taken out
It should: An MRI will show exactly where fibroids are, and they will not move. It is likely, however, that you have more than one fibroid (most people who have them have multiple) and perhaps the fibroid near the cervix was not removed. It is hard to give a better answer to this question without seeing the actual images of the fibroids. ...Read more

Possibly: Fibroids can grow large enough to press on the bladder just like your uterus can press on your bladder during pregnancy. Frequent need to urinate or a pressure feeling could be from the fibroid. I would consult with your gyn about treatment options including uterine fibroid embolization (ufe), a minimally invasive way to treat many fibroids. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
