Complete the workup: What led to the original ultrasound? Was it an abnormal exam or mammogram?

Please see your doctor and get a complete breast evaluation. Depending on the mammogram results (and make sure the mammography has your ultrasound images!), further workup may be necessary, possibly including mri.

If the findings are not completely benign, a biopsy to look at tissue under the microscope is required. ...Read more

Ubknown: I would need much more information. A breast "adenoma" is probably meant to be a benign (non-cancerous) fibroadenoma ; would not be related to a pituitary adenoma. The biopsy will give you the information you need. ...Read more

The dr was probably describing dense breast tissue on mammogram.
Breast tissue density tends to diminish in most women as they age and pass through menopause. Some women maintain dense breast tissue through out there life. It does not have specific connotations. Just a range of normal. Estrogens can increase this. ...Read more
