nasalcrom, benadryl (diphenhydramine): Nasalcrom spray and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) are also acceptable otc meds for this age. Children are much less often sedated by Benadryl (diphenhydramine) than adults, and sometimes it is more effective than claritin, zyrtec or allegra.
