Dry mouth: There are many hopeful treatments for your predicament . They may be symptoms from more than one problem, but decreased salivary output(dry mouth) can cause redness of gum tissue and hypersensitivity of the teeth. Pharyngitis+/- sinus: This isn't the cold or flu. This could be bacterial or viral pharyngitis. It could also be sinusitis (you said you had a headache). The neck nodes are anterior cervical chain lymphadenopathy..it goes along with this. Most infections of this type begin to resolve around this time. Virus? Herpes?: If new in past few days, probably a virus, expecially herpes if maybe exposed (kissing, performing oral sex). Other viruses also can do this, and some non-infectious diseases. Get care ASAP, including ER or urgent care if necessary (don't wait til Monday). If herpes, the sooner the better for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Many possibilities..: These symptoms are non-specific. They can be due to many causes. Examples of these causes is infectious mononucleosis, post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis (kidney disease that occur after strept infection), blood cancer, etc. I think mono is the most likely in your case but you should get evaluated soon.. ...Read more

Not definite: Your presentation sounds more like bacterial, however either can produce pus on tonsils and the symptoms described. Would get seen by your dr or an urgent care and have a rapid strep test done to be sure if you need an antibiotic. ...Read more

Just started?: If this just started then I would suspect a viral infection. See an Urgent Care or your Family Doctor for evaluation. If you have had this for weeks or months then it is a little more difficult to say. I would suggest seeing your Family Doctor or a Rheumatologist for evaluation and blood work.
