You will need a medical history, a physical examination to include auscultation of your lungs and you might need a chest xray as well. Cold preparations: Over the counter cold medicines do not reduce symptoms enough to risk the side effects including changes in heart rate and blood pressure. Sounds like allergy: Chocolate is one of several foods that often cause allergic reactions. Avoid it and if there are no other problems they should be fine.
