See below: Sounds more like a panic attack/anxiety than food poisoning, especially since it happened in different situations and you associate it with panic. Would be worthwhile to visit with your pcp about this to rule out any other causes. Good luck.

Loose Stools (Definition)

Loose stools is a symptom in which a person's stool (poop) does not hold its shape after it goes into the toilet. Diarrhea: The stool color isn't worrisome, but if its been intermittent for a few months then needs more thorough evaluation. Could be toddler's diarrhea, maybe drinking too much juice and/or eating too many fruits. Possibly dairy related. Maybe just bad luck with infections. Besides a food restriction trial, he might need further evaluation through blood and stool.

Important evaluation: A viral syndrome with sore throat and low fever can also cause loose stools. The enlarged lymph nodes in your neck are of greater concern, If they are hard and rubbery, this could be more serious. Regardless, the cause of enlarged nodes in your neck should be evaluated by a qualified doctor.

Are very foul smelling loose stools in infants without fever, mucus or blood a sign of Amoebic dysentery?

Are very foul smelling loose stools in infants without fever, mucus or blood a sign of Amoebic dysentery?

Amoeba Shmomoeba...: Think about it this way: Whatever is causing the diarrhea, an infant is very sensitive to fluid loss, and other losses too. So if it has been excessive and persistent and the baby won't take enough fluids by mouth to compensate for the losses (dry mouth, decreased tears and urine volume, acting cranky and tired), it's time to see a doctor. Let him figure out the cause, whether amoeba or just a virus

Get checked: It sounds like you have an infection of some kind - probably a UTI/pyelonephritis. You should see a doc and get checked out as quickly as possible. Get well soon!

1yr old with 5 days of foul loose stools 4 times/day. Today bowel is pale color & gritty like. Is this more than virus? Ran fever prior

Likely infection: If the stools have some color, like pale yellow and a bad odor, it is likely an infection. If the stools are pure white, it could mean another problem. Follow up with your doctor and take in a sample. All the best.

My 5 month old daughter has had some loose stools. No fever, eating normally, and active. She has a red bottom, relieved with diaper cream. Could it be teething?

My 5 month old daughter has had some loose stools. No fever, eating normally, and active. She has a red bottom, relieved with diaper cream. Could it be teething?

Maybe: I can be hard to determine the exact cause of an infants symptoms... It might be related to teething or it might be a cold. Please monitor your child closely and give palliative care: 1. Cold compresses 2. Children's tylenol (acetaminophen) per the label's directions. 3. Maintain hydration, plain water is ok. 4. Call your pediatrician if the fever increases or persists for more than 3 days.

My baby is spitting up yellowed mucus, has seedy yellow loose stools, sounds congested, and is crying a lot. What's wrong with her? No fever.

My baby is spitting up yellowed mucus, has seedy yellow loose stools, sounds congested, and is crying a lot. What's wrong with her? No fever.

Need more info: Do not know the age of the baby, what other symptoms may be present, whether she is feeding appropriately, sleeping too much, irritable, or other vital info. Strongly suggest that you take her asap and be seen by a doctor to make certain nothing serious is going on, or at least call and speak with a pediatrician.

Although the: Chances are slim that your symptoms are connected to the anal sexual contact (probably a more common stomach upset (viral or dietary origin) there are sexually transmitted diseases which can be transmitted anally. gonorrhea and non-specific urethrits are examples. If your partner wore a condom as he should have for his own protection, this would diminish that possibility. See your GYN!!

I hav barretts oesophagus & vomit a lot, bile acid malabsorption with loose stools recently been getting a fever after eating a meal what cud this be?

Fever: Your fevers are nonspecific and not clearly related to the barretts or malabsorption syndrome as neither of these conditions are usually accompanied by post prandial fever. Are other symptoms like abdominal pain, sweats and chills or cough also occurring then? Infection or noninfectious inflammation are to be considered. See your MD for further evaluation and testing.
