Cough ; fever: This time of year and those symptoms are screaming influenza. Did you get flu shot this year? If it's in the first 2 days of the illness, try to get in to doc as there is an anti-flu medication that can be given as long as you do it early. If it's been longer, then fluids, rest. Pharyngitis: Most common cause would be acute viral pharyngitis or throat infection. If the pain is worsening after today or you find yourself drooling from an inability to swallow, best to have it looked at as bacterial infection in the throat is dangerous. More info needed: While we can't diagnose this without more information, we can say that fever, body aches and chills are common symptoms of the flu. Since flu is prevalent now, we often begin flu treatment without a positive diagnosis- that is based on the symptoms and history. Please Clarify: Yes. Of course. But you have not shared any valid timeline to this question on which to be more specific. HIV seroconversion would not have any respiratory symptoms such as cough.
