Poor blood flow to the uterus can also cause it whether from hemorrhage, ischemia, or injury. Fetal malformations can also cause it. This trouble usually occurs during labor, but sometimes it may precede onset of labor. Causes include cord compresson, placental prolems related to maternal health before and during pregnancy.
