Doctor insights on:
Would pills like fertility blend, proxeed or fertipil really help with husbands fertility? He is 34 and i suspect he suffers from ED as well.
No & No: Although several studies have shown an improvement in sperm parameters with anti-oxidant and vitamin therapy, no study has shown a significant improvement in pregnancy rates. Taking vitamins certainly can't hurt, but don't pay the huge price difference just because the bottle says "fert" on it. A semen analysis would be a great place to start. See a urologist or fertility doc for the ed. ...Read more
Not my approach: I recommend you review your concerns with your gynecologist or fertility specialist. Fertility blend sounds like a combination of fancy herbs and vitamins. I checked out a "review" on the company web site and was not impressed. Individual testimonies are not the way to make such important decisions as how to address infertility problems. Fertility improves with happiness, nutrition and rest. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers

For 2 months i took fertility blend. It messed up my cycle & ovulated 2 early. How long will it stay in my system. Day 14 now and no ovulation yet?
Not long: This supplement is vitamins and some natural herbs. If you took it as directed, the "half life" or how long it stays in your system is not long at all. It should be eliminated well within a week. It is well known that as one gets into their late 30s and up that ovulation irregularity can occur even with no supplements or medications. No known link between such supplements and fertility. ...Read more
Is fertility blend good to take while trying to get pregnant? What other medicine is good that isnt costly on a tight budget?
No: The answer is 'no.' the grapevine and the internet are filled with remedies, herbs, otc drugs, diets, vitamins, supplements, and tricks to 'make you more fertile.' none are validated: at best they don't work and at worst, dangerous. Fertility blend is such an unproven product, in spite of what it says on their website. ...Read more
I'm using this product by Solaray called Fertility blend SP-1 damaiana-eleuthero with homeopathic nutrients I just started today hoping this will help?
Hope so too... : There are many different reasons for infertility. Without knowing why you're having fertility issues it's impossible to know if these herbs will help. They have the potential to help but there have been no studies to tell just how many are helped by this product.I read testimonials from women who got pregnant after using it but we can't know if this would have happened anyway. But it's safe to try. ...Read more

Trying to conceive! is it safe & beneficial to take a fertility blend for women, along with my womans one a day prenatal vitamin? Txs!
Not FDA tested.: It should not hurt, although this vitamin concoction has not been tested by the fda for safety and efficacy. So, take it at your own risk if you must, but really the only ingredient that i could recommend is the Folic Acid at 1-5 mg daily to prevent preterm birth and fetal anomalies. Best of luck! ...Read more
I have PCOS and I'm ttc if I take prenatals and fertility blend from GNC could that help me get pregnant?
No data to support: Even though taking prenatal vitamins is an excellent thing to do for prevention of neural tube defects & if you're trying to get pregnant that is certainly a recommended action to take, however, there is no scientific data to support the use of any of the supplements @ GNC or elsewhere that will improve the chances of getting pregnant. I read the label on Fertility Blend. Misleading information. ...Read more
I have been taking fertility blend for women and now I been feeling very fatigue and my breast are soar and heavy what is going on?
I'm taking a supplement called fertility blend (iherb), some prenatals, B6 and b12. Is this too much vitamins? Can it be harmful to take this much?
Vitamin A: Vitamin a is really the only vitamin that you can take too much of. No more than 5, 000 iu a day. Interesting, a lot of women when tested are vitamin d deficient, that's one you might want to take more of. The best way to get vitamins and minerals, though, is in your diet, so really working to have a balanced and healthy diet is much better than taking supplements. Good luck! ...Read more
