Will taking fenugreek (one capsule of 610mg per day) lead to overdose of oestrogen and cause breast cancer? Esp when my mom has history of cancer.

Complicated Question: From a symptomatic point of view, I many times see the exact oposite. Hormones such as cortisol, estradiol, estrone, estriol, testosterone, etc come from cholesterol via a specific pathway. Stress can increase cortisol levels, requiring a trasnformation from dhea to cortisol. Possibly: Granola bars are high in sugar. High sugar in your diet will reduce the amount of glucuronidase enzyme available to metabolize estrogen and raise your estrogen levels.
